HITSENSEI

Private coaching · Men

Getting in shape isn’t the goal.Building a body you can actually keep is.

Private coaching for ambitious men who want to remain lean, strong and high-performing, without making fitness their full-time job.

  • Six-month engagement
  • One coach, start to finish
  • Built around your calendar
JR Mejia, founder of HIT SENSEI.

The pattern

This was never a discipline problem.

You’ve run a business through a bad year. You’ve closed things under pressure and shown up for people who depend on you. Discipline is not the constraint, and anyone telling you otherwise hasn’t looked closely.

The constraint is that almost every method available to you was designed for someone with a flexible calendar, no travel and nobody else’s schedule to absorb. It works beautifully for eight weeks. Then a quarter closes, a flight moves, someone gets sick. The whole structure turns out to have been resting on time you no longer have.

So you rebuild it. And it holds, until the next quarter. That loop is expensive, and it isn’t a character flaw. It’s an engineering flaw.

Getting lean is phase one. Staying lean is the program.

Why it keeps happening

Four reasons ordinary programs fail busy adults.

  1. Built for a calendar you don’t have

Six sessions a week, meals prepped on Sunday, no travel. It’s a fine plan for someone whose time is their own. It is not a plan for a person with a board meeting on Thursday and a flight on Friday.

  2. They end at the result

The photo is the finish line, so nobody builds the next part. You arrive somewhere good with no instructions for staying there, and the drift starts the week the program ends.

  3. They spend your willpower instead of replacing it

Every decision the plan leaves open (what to order, whether to train, how to handle the week) costs you attention you’re already spending elsewhere. Good systems remove decisions. Most programs add them.

  4. They treat your life as the obstacle

Restaurants, travel, stress and a demanding job are treated as things to survive rather than conditions to design around. They aren’t going away. They’re the specification.

The method

Five pillars. One engagement.

The method is not a philosophy. It’s the sequence we run, in order, for every private client, and the reason a result built inside it tends to survive contact with real life.

  1. Build

    Strength and physique.

Training built around progressive strength, muscle and structural resilience, programmed to the equipment, schedule and travel pattern you actually have. Volume is a means, not a badge.

    • Progressive strength programming
    • Physique and body-composition focus
    • Joint-durable movement selection
    • Travel, hotel and minimal-equipment variants
  2. Fuel

    Nutrition built around real life.

A nutrition system that survives client dinners, airports, hotel breakfasts and a Tuesday with three back-to-back meetings. We build around the way you already eat rather than asking you to become a different person.

    • Protein and energy targets you can hit
    • Restaurant, travel and social frameworks
    • Alcohol handled honestly, not banned
    • Adjustment rules instead of guesswork
  3. Recover

    Sleep, stress and recovery.

Training only works to the degree you recover from it. We treat sleep, stress load and recovery capacity as programmable inputs rather than things you either have or do not have.

    • Sleep routines that fit your schedule
    • Stress and workload management
    • Deload and recovery planning
    • Managing training around a heavy week
  4. Optimize

    Data-informed review.

We review the data that is actually available to us (training performance, body composition trends, energy, sleep and adherence) and adjust deliberately rather than reactively.

    • Structured progress review
    • Performance and adherence trends
    • Objective inputs over guesswork
    • Deliberate adjustment cycles

HIT SENSEI is a coaching company. We do not diagnose, treat or prescribe. Any biomarker, hormone or medical care is coordinated only with appropriately licensed providers.

  5. Sustain

The systems required to keep the result.

The phase nearly every program skips. We deliberately transfer the decision-making to you: what to do on a bad week, how to hold a result, how to return to baseline after a holiday without starting over.

    • Maintenance and hold protocols
    • Rules for travel, holidays and setbacks
    • Self-directed adjustment
    • A body you can keep without a coach

Who you’re working with

I’ve spent more than 30 years in fitness. One thing has never changed: the best program is the one you can actually stay consistent with.

HIT SENSEI combines personalized nutrition with simple, high-intensity training designed to help men and women build a lean, strong body without living in the gym.

JR Mejia

Founder & Performance Coach

Train intelligently. Eat with purpose. Stay consistent.

JR Mejia has spent more than 30 years in the fitness industry studying what actually helps people build a lean, strong body they can maintain.

HIT SENSEI was built around a simple idea: fitness should work with your life, not take it over.

The system combines personalized nutrition, straightforward meal planning, easy-to-follow training, and HIT SENSEI’s own high-intensity training method to help men and women make meaningful progress while training as little as one or two times per week when appropriate for the individual.

The goal is not to create a program that looks impressive on paper. It is to create one people can actually follow.

The core belief behind HIT SENSEI is that consistency is the most important factor in long-term fitness success.

When training, nutrition, and accountability are simple enough to repeat, results become much easier to build and maintain.

The engagement

What private coaching actually involves.

Six months, one coach, and a system built specifically for how you live. Not a portal you log into and forget.

  • A program built for your body and your week

Training written for your history, injuries, equipment and available hours, then revised as your schedule and capacity change.

  • A nutrition system that survives client dinners

Protein and energy targets you can genuinely hit, frameworks for restaurants and travel, and an honest position on alcohol rather than a ban you’ll ignore.

  • Structured check-ins

A scheduled review of training performance, body composition trend, energy, sleep and adherence, with deliberate adjustments rather than reactive ones.

  • Direct access to your coach

Between check-ins, when the question is time-sensitive: the menu in front of you, the hotel gym with three machines, the week that fell apart.

  • Travel and disruption protocols

Pre-built variants for the weeks that don’t go to plan, so a trip costs you a small adjustment instead of a restart.

  • A deliberate handover

The final phase transfers the decision-making to you: what to do on a bad week, how to hold a result, how to return to baseline without starting over.

The difference

Getting lean is phase one.Staying lean is the program.

Every engagement runs the same three movements, in order. Most programs stop after the first one. That’s precisely why most results don’t survive the year.

  1. Phase one

    Transform

    Get the result.

Structured training, a nutrition system that fits your calendar, and enough momentum that the change becomes visible to you and to everyone else. This is the part most programs sell.

  2. Phase two

    Systemize

    Make the behaviors repeatable.

We convert what worked into a system: defaults, rules, fallbacks and decisions you no longer have to make consciously. Discipline stops being something you spend willpower on.

  3. Phase three

    Perform

Maintain a high-performing body for life.

You hold the result through travel, stress, injury, holidays and a demanding career, because you own the system rather than renting it from a coach. This is the part that decides whether any of it mattered.

Standing behind it

We can’t guarantee outcomes, and anyone who does is selling you something. What we can stand behind is the system and our side of the work.

The HIT SENSEI Execution Guarantee

You bring the execution. We’ll stand behind the system.

If you meet the agreed coaching, nutrition, training and check-in standards and your progress falls short of the milestones established with your coach, we’ll extend your coaching at no additional coaching charge.*

Fit

Who this is built for.

We take on a limited number of private clients, and the engagement only works when both sides are the right fit. Straight answers in both directions.

This is built for you if

  • You operate at a high level professionally and want a body that matches the standard you hold everywhere else.
  • You’ve achieved results before and watched them slip. You’re more interested in keeping the next one.
  • You have more financial resources than free time, and you’d rather buy a system than assemble one.
  • You intend to still be strong, lean and capable at sixty, and you’re willing to start building that now.
  • You’ll do the work. You want the structure, not someone to do it for you.

It isn’t the right fit if

  • You’re looking for a six-week transformation rather than a six-month engagement.
  • You want a plan handed over with no coaching relationship attached.
  • You’re primarily looking for medical, hormonal or pharmaceutical intervention. That belongs with a licensed physician, not a coach.
  • You’re shopping on price. This is a considered investment and we’re straightforward about that.

Questions

Straight answers.

  • How much time does this actually take?

Most clients train three to four times a week, in sessions built to fit the time they genuinely have. The program is designed around your calendar rather than the other way round. If you have four hours a week, we build the best possible four hours.

  • I travel constantly. Does that break the program?

No. Travel is a design constraint we plan for from week one: hotel-gym and minimal-equipment variants, restaurant and airport frameworks, and clear rules for what to hold and what to let go during a heavy travel block.

  • How is this different from the last program I tried?

Most programs end at the result. Ours treats the result as phase one. The back half of the engagement is spent making the behaviors repeatable and handing you the system, so the outcome survives a bad quarter, a holiday and a new job.

  • Is this genuinely private coaching, or a group program?

Private. You work directly with a coach on a program built for your body, schedule, training history and constraints, with structured check-ins and direct access between them.

  • What if I’m starting from a long way back?

That’s common and it’s fine. We start from where you are, not from where a template assumes you are. The first weeks are about establishing a load you can recover from and a nutrition baseline you can actually hold.

  • I’ve had injuries. Can you work around them?

Yes. Movement selection is adjusted to what your body tolerates, and we work alongside your physio or physician where one is involved. We coach; we don’t diagnose or treat.

  • Do you handle bloodwork, hormones or medication?

No. HIT SENSEI is a coaching company. We don’t diagnose, treat or prescribe. Where health data is relevant, we coordinate with appropriately licensed providers and coach around their guidance.

  • What does it cost?

HIT SENSEI Private is a six-month engagement, and investment is discussed openly on your strategy call once we both understand the fit. It’s a serious commitment and we’d rather talk about it properly than reduce it to a number on a landing page.

  • What happens after I apply?

We review your application. If it looks like a fit, you’ll book a private strategy call to work through your situation, what the engagement would involve, and whether it makes sense for both of us. There’s no obligation on either side.

  • What if I do the work and it doesn’t move?

That’s what the Execution Guarantee is for. If you meet the agreed coaching, nutrition, training and check-in standards and your progress falls short of the milestones set with your coach, we extend your coaching at no additional coaching charge. Eligibility and extension terms apply and are covered in full during enrollment.
